Russia sentences 3 citizens of Uzbekistan, 8 citizens of Kyrgyzstan to 6-18 years in prison for plotting terrorist attacks
On January 23, Moscow district military court sentenced 3 citizens of Uzbekistan and 8 citizens of Kyrgyzstan to 6-18 years in prison. They were charged with Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - preparation of terrorist acts.
On Wednesday, citizens of Kyrgyzstan Vakhidov D., Vakhidov M., Mirzazhanov T., Rasulillaev I., Torakulov R. Umarov Sh., Fakhriddin U., Esenbayev Sh. and citizens of Uzbekistan Isroiljonov Sh., Kodirov F., Makhmudov B. were found guilty of plotting terrorist act as part of an organized crime group.
As established by the investigation, these individuals were included in the criminal group of the terrorist organization IS. They planned to carry out terrorist acts in Moscow and St. Petersburg with the use of firearms and improvised explosive devices.
