A new zoo opens in Andijan

In Andijan, a new zoo has opened in the Bogishamol recreation area, UzA reports.
“Construction work was carried out on a hilly area of 4.8 hectares,” says the director of the zoo, Mukhtorzhon Khalilov. “The facility was built on the basis of a kind of modern method. About 100 species of decorative shady trees and various flowers were planted on the territory”.
About 100 species of wild and waterfowl animals were brought to the zoo. Here you can see a brown bear, African lions and monkeys, snakes and crocodiles from South America, Mongolian horses, Central Asian wolves, jackals, foxes, gazelles, as well as ostriches, eagles, hawks, European swans, many species of fish and other water animals (sharks). Its project cost amounted to more than 12 billion soums.
On the territory of the zoo, 30 different types of carousels and attractions are installed. There are cafes, a canteen, ice-cream and soft drink shops, photo-shops and others.
