False employee of Prosecutor General's Office detained in Tashkent region

In the Tashkent region, a false employee of the Prosecutor General's Office and his accomplice were detained, the press service of the supervisory body reports.

According to the press service, in the Tashkent region, a driver of one of the local companies went to a café for lunch and introduced himself as an employee of the Tashkent regional department under the Prosecutor General's Office.

After lunch, he allegedly was unhappy with quality of the food, and also made a complaint that he was not given a payment receipt. After that, he seized the cash register and medical book, which belonged to the café.

Then, the fraud demanded 1 million soums from the café administration as “compensation” for not drawing up the protocol and imposing a fine. Employees of the prosecutor's office detained his accomplice at the time of receiving the bribe.

According to the supervisory body, on the aforementioned fact, a criminal case has been initiated against two men under relevant articles of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are underway.
