Investments Minister now has a new deputy

Olimkhon Rustamov has been appointed Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade, the MIFT press service informed.
Prior to his appointment, Rustamov served as Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction. Previously, he held managerial positions at the Accounts Chamber of Uzbekistan, Uzbekneftegaz JSC, Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine SE and other organizations.
In his new position, Rustamov is responsible for attracting investments, effectively monitoring the implementation of investment projects, putting forward initiatives for state development programs, as well as implementing comprehensive measures for the development of regions and free economic zones.
Also, Rustamov is tasked with coordinating the sectorial development of the social sphere, tourism and the construction materials industry.
