Nurmat Otabekov assesses situation with coronavirus in Uzbekistan

Deputy Head of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Wellbeing and Public Health Service Nurmat Otabekov assessed the situation with the coronavirus in the country.
According to him, the situation in the republic is gradually stabilizing and changing in a positive direction.
“The indicators are going down a bit. Hospitals that are specialized in treating COVID-19 patients are working effectively,” he said during a briefing at the Agency for Information and Mass Communications.
The Staff member also said that several hospitals treating COVID-19 are returning to normal working hours and have begun to admit patients at their own.
According to the latest data of the Health Ministry, on August 13, COVID-19 was found in 966 people in the republic. The total number of people cured of coronavirus in the country has reached 135,228, or 95% of all active cases.
