Man pours petrol and sets himself on fire in Karshi
In Karshi, a local resident, who was dissatisfied with the work of the tannery, poured petrol and set himself on fire.

According to the PGO press service, the pre-investigation check is being carried out on this fact by the Karshi city prosecutor’s office, the reasons for the incident are being established.
In the video, which was posted on social networks, one can see that residents gathered in front of the workshop are dissatisfied with his work. They complain of a pungent and strong smell. Whether they filed a complaint with the ecology and environmental protection department, the local khokimiyat or law enforcement agencies is still unknown.
The man who set himself on fire said he was a taxi driver. At one time, he had already appealed to the plant management with a complaint, but they began to threaten him. According to Kun.uz source, he was previously convicted. At one time, he planned to get a job in the workshop.
“Because of this Akmal, I don’t want to live anymore. I don’t want to live at all. Help me,” he said, pouring with petrol and setting himself on fire.
In the video, local residents say that they cannot properly rest, live and work. According to them, the smell negatively affects the health of children. One of the participants in a kind of picket said that because of this smell, he spends half of his salary on restoring health.
