Control over energy resources crossing Uzbek-Kazakh border to be strengthened
In this regard, the Kazakh side is considering a relevant draft law. The document envisages the establishment of joint customs control of energy resources transported across the customs border.

Control over energy resources crossing the Kazakh-Uzbek border will be strengthened, Spot reports.
It is noted that the relevant bill was considered at the plenary session of the Parliament of Kazakhstan.
It is all about the draft law on the ratification of the agreement “between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of Uzbekistan on the joint customs control during the transfer of energy resources through pipeline transport and power line across the Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan customs border” signed in Astana on December 6, 2021.
The purpose of the agreement is to increase the efficiency of control of energy resources transported across the Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan border through pipelines and power lines.
“The document envisages the establishment of joint customs control of energy resources transported through the customs border of the two countries through pipeline transport and power lines,” Deputy PM – Minister of Finance Erulan Jamaubayev, said.
According to him, the agreement stipulates the exchange of energy resources with the experience of customs declaration and customs control, information on violations of the requirements of the national legislation of the states in the field of customs work.
