Uzbekistan sends humanitarian aid to flood-affected areas of Kyrgyzstan

The 95-ton humanitarian aid shipment includes flour, sugar, vegetable oil, and other food products.

On July 3, Uzbekistan sent humanitarian aid to those affected by floods in Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyz Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

According to the report, a 95-ton shipment was delivered under the leadership of the First Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan, Sanjar Zuparov. The shipment was received by the First Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Mazaripov.

It is noted that the humanitarian aid included flour, sugar, vegetable oil, and other food products.

On June 28, 2024, severe flooding occurred in the Novqat district of Kyrgyzstan. The flood resulted in fatalities. Currently, the aftermath of the flood is being managed and mitigated.
