Navoiazot faces mandatory measures after exceeding emission standards
For several days, information has been circulating on social media that the air in the city of Navoi has become unbreathable. The Department of Ecology of the Navoi region has officially commented on the situation.

It is reported that employees of the Navoi Regional Department of Ecology conducted monitoring. During the study, samples for analysis were taken by employees of the regional departments of ecology and hydrometeorology and the central laboratory of Navoiazot from the entire sanitary protection zone of the enterprise. The analysis results showed that the amount of emissions into the atmosphere exceeds the norm.
The management of Navoiazot has been given mandatory instructions to correct the situation.
"Documents collected are being prepared for submission to the Authorized Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the Protection of the Rights and Legal Interests of Business Entities to conduct an inspection on the territory of the enterprise and determine the causes of atmospheric pollution," the department reported.
Reportedly, additional information will be provided upon completion of the study.
Previously, a ranking of green cities in Uzbekistan was announced. Based on the analysis of air quality, the city of Navoi ranked 7th in the republic with a score of 5.77.
