Uzbekistan, France discuss coordinated efforts on Afghan crisis, terrorism, and drug trafficking
Ismatulla Irgashev, the Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, held a meeting on October 11 with a French Ministry of Armed Forces delegation led by Alexandre Escorcia, Head of the Europe, North America, and Multilateral Actions Department of the General Directorate for International Relations and Strategy.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the discussions focused on the current situation in Afghanistan and efforts to resolve the ongoing crisis in the country.
The parties exchanged views on the challenges faced in Afghanistan and underscored the importance of coordinated actions to address key issues, including border security, counter-terrorism, drug trafficking, and arms smuggling.
Alexandre Escorcia acknowledged Uzbekistan's crucial role in maintaining regional stability and security, highlighting the significance of Uzbekistan’s efforts in supporting peace in Afghanistan. He also expressed hope for continued fruitful cooperation between the two nations in addressing regional security concerns.
