Uzbekistan and Malaysia strengthen cooperation in football development
Uzbekistan's Ambassador, Karomiddin Gadoev, recently met with Amir Shah, the Crown Prince of Selangor and President of Malaysia's prominent "Selangor" football club, to discuss football collaboration between the two countries.

The meeting explored the current state and future prospects of football cooperation, emphasizing the importance of building ties between "Selangor" and Uzbek football clubs. Discussions included the participation of Malaysian teams in Uzbek youth, junior, and amateur tournaments, as well as plans to organize friendly matches.
Key topics included attracting Malaysian investments and grants to support Uzbekistan's football development and enhancing exchanges of coaches and specialists.
Crown Prince Amir Shah commended the reforms taking place in Uzbekistan’s football sector and expressed pride in Uzbek defender Umar Eshmuradov, who currently plays for "Selangor."
The Malaysian delegation reaffirmed its commitment to deepening football cooperation and fostering mutual growth in the sport.
