Uzbekistan and Russia sign five-year military cooperation plan
The document was inked in Moscow by the heads of the defense ministries of both countries.

As part of his working visit to Moscow, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Defense, Shukhrat Khalmukhamedov, held negotiations with Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov.
During the talks, both sides emphasized that cooperation across various areas between the two countries continues to strengthen bilateral relations.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the ministers signed a military cooperation plan between Uzbekistan and Russia covering the years 2026 to 2030.
It is worth noting that in January of this year, the defense ministries of Russia and Uzbekistan signed a cooperation plan for 2025, as well as a strategic partnership program in the military sphere for 2026–2030, during a meeting held in Tashkent.
