Uzbekistan Airports has held a second round of negotiations with the Mongolian airline Hunnu Air, attended by the company’s CEO, Purevjav Munkhjargal, according to the press service of Uzbekistan Airports.
The sides discussed the launch of direct, scheduled passenger flights between Tashkent and Ulaanbaatar. Tentatively, the airline is expected to begin operating flights in September this year, with a frequency of twice a week, using Embraer 190 aircraft.
During the meeting, the head of Hunnu Air also noted that the company sees Tashkent not only as a promising destination attractive to both tourists and business travelers, but also as a transit hub offering passengers from Mongolia and neighboring countries access to an extensive flight network.
Hunnu Air is a private Mongolian airline established in 2011, headquartered in Ulaanbaatar and based at Chinggis Khaan International Airport. The airline operates domestic and international flights using ATR 72-500 and Embraer 190 aircraft.
