Uzbekistan to collaborate with Sweden in fight against cancer
Tashkent hosted a roundtable discussion titled “Uzbekistan–Sweden: Cooperation and Experience Sharing in Oncology Care”, according to the Dunyo IA.

Organized in a hybrid format as part of the 4th International Pharmaceutical Forum, the event was a joint effort between the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Sweden and the Sweden Trade and Investment Council in Tashkent (Business Sweden).
The roundtable brought together leading experts and specialists from both countries, including representatives from the Uzbek Ministry of Health, the Uzpharmsanoat Association, the Karolinska Institute, the Swedish Medical Products Agency, AstraZeneca, Vision Zero Cancer, and other organizations. Presentations were delivered on opportunities for advancing healthcare and pharmaceutical systems in both nations.
The discussions focused on potential cooperation in oncology and pharmaceuticals, the development of new joint projects, exchange of expertise, and collaborative research. Special attention was given to early cancer diagnosis, the introduction of innovative treatment methods, enhancement of screening systems, and improving the overall quality of oncology care.
According to the organizers, the roundtable marked a significant step in strengthening medical cooperation between Uzbekistan and Sweden and improving the quality of care for cancer patients.
