Another 200 electric buses from the Chinese manufacturer Yutong will be delivered to Tashkent in the near future, according to “Toshshahartansxizmat.”

These vehicles have been specifically engineered for the conditions of Central Asia. During a ceremony held at the factory on June 28, the 10,000th bus produced for the region was officially unveiled. This particular unit was purchased by “Toshshahartansxizmat.”

The first batch of 20 Yutong electric buses arrived in Tashkent at the beginning of 2022. In 2023, the company delivered 800 buses to the capital of Uzbekistan, including 300 electric buses and 500 compressed natural gas (CNG) buses.

In February, it was reported that Yutong Bus had won a tender to supply Tashkent with 200 electric buses and charging stations, outperforming BYD Auto Industry and Zhongtong Bus Holding.
