According to officials, 200 projects across the industrial, service, and agricultural sectors have been launched in Jizzakh in the past six months. The region has attracted $662 million in investments. To further boost efficiency, a “Reform Headquarters” has been established in Zomin district.

One notable initiative includes the launch of an Agrocenter, which consolidates agricultural services under a single roof based on the “one-stop shop” principle. This new approach to boosting productivity is already having a positive impact on the quality of food products in the region and helping residents earn higher incomes.

Jizzakh is also laying the foundation for developing potato farming. Currently, 12 potato varieties – both foreign and local – have been introduced at the Zomin experimental research station for primary seed production.

Plans are also underway to cultivate leguminous crops and to construct pumping stations and main pipelines along the Zarbdor district canal.

A key highlight of the visit was the announcement of a modern tourism center to be built along the shores of the Aydar–Arnasay lake system, one of Uzbekistan’s most scenic natural sites.

“We are working to bring industry into the districts and provide people with jobs. Modern enterprises are emerging in places that were once deserted steppes. Our people are now earning from their skills and household plots. But this is just today’s achievement. A new generation is rising, and our youth are becoming more knowledgeable and ambitious. We must create the conditions now for them to work and live well. If resources are used wisely, Zomin district can become a region free of unemployment,” said President Mirziyoyev.

In the new center of Kokkdala district, several facilities are being built side by side – a palace of arts, an art school, a general education school, and a sports complex. The president noted that such a layout is convenient for children and emphasized the importance of adopting this approach in future projects. Based on this experience, Zomin district will also see the construction of a 300-seat palace of culture and an art school to serve over 45,000 residents of the district center.

Officials were given instructions to ensure the implementation of these plans and to further develop the region’s socio-economic sectors.
